CAROLINA FOODPROS TAKES CURIOUS DINERS BEHIND THE SCENES OF CHARLESTON'S MOST PROMINENT RESTAURANTS ON A NEW CULINARY TOUR

CHARLESTON, SC - Carolina FoodProsT, renowned for its educational and entertaining culinary tours, introduces its newest weekly culinary adventure - the Chef's Kitchen Tour - s tarting on Friday, March 17, 2006. This new tour takes guests into the dining rooms and kitchens of some of Charleston's most prominent restaurants.
Led by Caleb Horner, the newest member of the Carolina FoodProsT culinary team and a professional cook with years of experience in fine dining restaurants, guests will explore the inner workings of the restaurants gaining insight into the coordination and drive required to consistently rank among the best culinary destinations in Charleston. Behind every great restaurant is a great chef and tour participants will learn the influences that helped shape the chef's career and cuisine.
Along with the chefs, buildings that are home to the restaurants add their own imprint on the overall dining experience and Horner will unveil the history and lore of each unique site.
Tours start every Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Charleston Place Hotel and accommodate up to 20 people per tour. Tours last approximately two hours. Guests will enjoy artisan pastries and coffee at the first stop and then proceed to three or four other, well-known downtown restaurants, depending on availability. Participating restaurants include Anson, Carolina's, Cypress, High Cotton, McCrady's, Oak, Tristan, and others.
